About LongHorn Steakhouse
Founded in 1981 by George McKerrow Jr., LongHorn Steakhouse is a casual dining restaurant chain that serves American cuisine mainly in the eastern United States. The eatery chain is owned by its mother-company Darden Restaurants, Inc., and generated $1.5 billion in sales as of 2015. While still predominately housed in the eastern portions of the US, by 1990, the chain had expanded to include locations in parts of the midwest, southwest and even Puerto Rico.
